If you resign the seedcase , you ’ll release Zevlor and two other non - infected ally . But you ’ll also release three Mindflayers and aggro the Intellect Devourers that are weave around the spot . Once you open up the pods , prioritise continue Zevlor ( and the others too , I think ) alive . While the Mindflayers are the heavy threats , do n’t underestimate the brains , either .
Once they ’re dead , Zevlor will institutionalize you ahead to kill Ketheric Throm .
Speaking of which , Do not kill Throm first , then seek to backtrack . The pods will be empty , and you wo n’t be able to finish the quest . I learned this the strong way , and yes , I had to chance Throm twice .
