Since then , I ’ve played Beyond Light and Lightfall . I ’ve yet to diddle Forsaken and Shadowkeep , but this list will lie in ofmy personal preference shuffle with community consensusso you get the most accurate agency of where each Destiny 2 elaboration lies .

The Witch Queen
When I first played through The Witch Queen , I thought the fact that I was retrovert to Destiny 2 after a long metre sway me into loving the expansion , but that was n’t the truth . The truth is The Witch Queen is the best Destiny 2 expansion to engagement because of itstight storytelling , beautiful location , and innovative fresh gameplay features .
The Witch Queen featuressome of the best story missions to datein Destiny 2 and brought Light 3.0 whichrevamped Solar , Arc , and Void . If I had to recommend anyone to bribe one Destiny 2 enlargement , it would be The Witch Queen .
Forsaken
Though I have yet to play it , Forspoken ismany OG Destiny 2 player ’ favored expansion . The story is one of the best told and many the great unwashed get laid it because it convey in newfangled impregnable alien weapon system and armor and fixed a lot of way out with the plot .

Beyond Light
Beyond Light is n’t a unfit Destiny 2 enlargement ; I ’d sayit ’s just average . Europa is a fine map and the story itself is estimable than Lightfall , although the deputation are n’t as playfulness .
The skillful part about Beyond Light isgetting Stasis , but until of late , unlock it and all the Aspects and Fragments was a immense grind . Because of that , people do n’t recall back too lovingly on Beyond Light .

All it did was celebrate 30 years of Bungie by giving players who bought the packthe Gjallarhorn Exotic Rocket Launcherwhich is still one of the good in the secret plan , really good weapons inspired by Halo , the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon , and a collection of armor . Sadly , this not - so - expansive expansion is better than Shadowkeep , which say a set .

Shadowkeep is accord to beone of the worst expansion in Destiny 2 history , and that ’s because of its short and underwhelming storey , recycled area , and entry of propagate story and activity across four quarterly season .
