The bayonet is no longer for ornamental purposes only .
There ’s this gas pedal in Destiny 2 with a comically - ornamental piece of ironware . I ’m talking , of course , about Monte Carlo , with its bayonet . A bayonet that ’s been stuck to the front of this beautiful Exotic auto rifle since its origin with nothing to do but await pretty . The community has ask again and again .. and again for an Exotic catalyst that would make use of this bayonet , similar to how Glaive battle royal behaves , and it seems that after a lot of undoubtedly strong workplace , Bungie have pulled it off .
The Catalyst is come inSeason 22 , launching next Tuesdayand can likely be acquired similarly to others : as drops at the end of activity like those in the Vanguard playlist . The catalyst appears to get you “ quick ” the gun ’s bayonet , then strike an foe for massive melee equipment casualty . Here ’s avideo of the Catalyst in activity .

In Bungie ’s own Logos : Monte Carlo – We finally did it . It was mechanically the most complex catalyst we have ever done , command a host of usance animation body of work and a lot of thing we have never done on a weapon before , but we hope you enjoy it !
