Please mother , can I have some armor ?
For all the faults that Diablo 4 has , I have been a staunch fan of the secret plan and I ’ve been having a blast with Season 3 . I was quick to give the Lunar Awakening event a fighting chance , but the content is absent , and the armor sets in the workshop are just an extra slap in the face . If the Ancestors really favored me , I could dig for some nerveless armour .
Sure , some young cosmetic can be earned for gratuitous in the Lunar Awakening reward board . There are even a few coolheaded weapons . But they are n’t even remotely close-fitting to enough to keep player well-chosen with the current cosmetic system . You either make up more money , or your character has the same looks from launch .
Diablo 4 has a Serious Cosmetic Problem
workshop armor is nothing new in Diablo 4 . They have been available since twenty-four hour period one , and I was quick to publish a similar feature film when those were released . Shop armors were understandably better than anything in the biz , and I could see the flight of our cosmetic future .
Fast forward to Season 3 and what have “ detached ” players been able to earn ? Essentially a cloth farming getup , a slenderly better gambeson , and now a band that look like it was mean for the Three Musketeers . None of these are lawful armour . The only way to get some new armor styles for the characters you will spend dozens of hours with is to spend money unless you do n’t mind the launching of cosmetic .
So now we ’re left with two option . We can corrupt the Battle Pass for $ 10 , which is at least a seemly deal , or pass upwards of $ 30 for an single armor set on one family . And do n’t even get me set off on the $ 70 horse big bucks that was free last season with some fillip Platinum . These bundles are getting out of control and the worst part is that most of the armor sets are genuinely rattling .

Yeah , yeah , all games are made to make money . But there needs to be a full point where there is some calibre content to justify the monetisation . I have been take in playfulness with time of year 3 with my Blizzard Sorceress , and I do n’t mind the numerous sets that have already been lend to the shop . certainly , I want more earnable cosmetics , but at least the content has been enough to keep me play .
Now , we get to theLunar Awakening . Within an hr of vent , I have consider players dispatch the total advantage board . Aside from the rewards , the primary draw is the bonus XP . Only , the incentive XP is tied directly to having participating Shrines . So you either pour down enemies with the shrine buff alive , which is only good when enough enemy actually appear , or the bonus is pointless .
After completing the reward and bring in a couple of weapon hide , what ’s left for the event ? There are at least five incredible armour hardening in the shop class that each cost $ 20 . You were brought back to the game for a couple of time of day to activate some slightly better shrine and then look at the shop class .
What Happened to Earnable Cosmetics?
Diablo 4 ’s shop is full of expensive cosmetics , and I get they need to have that for a live service game . That does n’t mean there should n’t be some great rewards to labor for as well . Even games like Destiny have some cosmetics that can be collected through gameplay alongside the shop collaboration that are thrown in for real money .
last - game is an ongoing undertaking in Diablo 4 , and at the moment , I ’m a fan of where the game is lead . But I can agnise the game still want some help , and the deficiency of any cosmetic past launching is going to ache the game in the foresighted ladder . Customization is a massive part of any RPG , and there is a reason that workshop do so well . Being able-bodied to wear the cool armor that you gain get those system even better . At the moment , Diablo 4 has nothing even close to “ earnable ” that displays what you ’ve been able to do with your own character .
I know the shop class is n’t cash in one’s chips anywhere . I ’m certain some more unconvincing armour will be add up to the shop . But that does n’t mean the players can be given a free set every once in a while , so we have reasons to come back .
