eminent on Knife is the incredible DLC for High on Life , and let me tell you , it is as perfect as a short DLC is gon na get .
High on Knifeis the unbelievable DLC for High on Life , one of the magnanimous games of 2022 . High on Life ’s amusement factor exclusively trust on how funny you see the straggly , earthy , ad - lib humor , and High on Knife is no different . Your opinions on the main secret plan will much be a mirror of your opinion on the DLC if you ’re not a fan of such jokes and amusement . I in person be intimate that silly and vagabond humour , and so this review , both pros and cons , will be well apprize by those who enjoyed the main secret plan . I stand for , if you did n’t care eminent on Life , then why are you concerned in the DLC ? Simply to hate more efficiently ?
Is High on Knife a good game?
I ’m travel to start off with this question to serve structure this revue . I intend High on Knife is a good biz , for a number of reasons . Sure , it is n’t perfect , but you must conform your expectations if you are going to have a good meter acting . High on Knife is a short adventure that enter a whole unexampled planet and story for you to relish . This is a standalone adventure that materialize after the main game , not that you involve to make out it to play High on Knife or to understand it . Nothing too high-flown or insane is added here , although there are fresh things to enjoy .
You may not relish it as much as the chief plot , but that ’s not the point . At least , I do n’t cerebrate it is . My review will be spoiler - free , so you may read the whole thing and not interest about your experience being tarnish with anterior knowledge . Below is why I believe High on Knife is a must - diddle if you enjoyed luxuriously on Life .
A horror story?
I leap into High on Knife without find any of the merchandising . So , I was surprised to see that the game was loosely commercialize as a horror - centric experience . Having played the game , it does make sensation as there is a mock horror constituent in a portion of the DLC . However , that was n’t what stuck with me at all . I recognize the title has “ knife ” in it , and it ’s let go of at the beginning of the spooky season , but this could n’t be further from revulsion .
Again , there are element , but not enough to vibrate with me . It still feels a petty unearthly writing this review knowing that some players will go into the DLC with horror and thriller themes in their intellect , only to never have those depression realized . Please do not go into this wacky and silly adventure expecting any sort of scares .
Same humor. Better kills.
I express joy while playing this game . I mean , Iactually audibly express joy , which is something I have n’t experienced from a picture game in a while . The place setting is an absolute pleasure of a juxtaposition , the fictional character are peculiar and strange , the Gatlians are as nonconcentric as ever , the tale is ridiculous and derisory , and the aboriginal species are … you ’ll see … you ’ll see .
However , it is n’t just the temper that you ’re there for , but also the kill . You skip into High on Knife with Gus , Sweezy , Creature , and Harper . That ’s proper , Harper is the unexampled Kenny , and Kenny ’s absence seizure from the game is joked about and somewhat touched upon , although no comforting reasonableness was produced . Naturally , Kenny had to go think the allegations against Justin Roiland . Harper provides a great standpoint - in , and her front is n’t jarring and does n’t rock the formula .
The DLC thankfully does provide new plaything for us to make for around with , although I ’ll let you fare across those yourself . The carnage is just the same — shooting things , popping off heads , and ripping and buck torsos . The new car-mechanic and flirt the DLC provides are capital to play with and add new dimensions to the whole kill thing the game has going on . My only reserve is not being able-bodied to punch them into the main game ! That would be awesome .

Absurd settings and interesting natives
The new satellite you enter on is called Peroxis , and it is unlike any environment in any telecasting game I ’ve get word . It ’s both calm , unique , interesting , and somehow completely flavourless , but in a mode that works . There is a native that is very keen to give you post card about all the wonders of the planet , in which you’re able to go off and explore if you wish . And , indeed , there are sight to be seen .
The contrast between the white and the orange really cultivate for me , and exploring just this surroundings of the DLC was fun . If you want to 100 % complete the game , then you ’ll be research all over the billet , and solving all sort of puzzles . The world they ’ve progress is just about interesting enough to explore , although it has n’t blow me by .
The occupants of the planet , however , all have their quirks , as can be expected . The story of Salt Lick City and its inhabitants is one that will always divert .

A fun and short story
gratefully , the story you play through does n’t drop behind on for too long and has heavy pacing . High on Knife strike a live up to symmetricalness between good old - fashioned slaughtering and havoc as you blast away groups of opposition and encounter sections of humourous storytelling . Some good puzzler and great mechanic err their way into the gameplay as well , keeping the experience fun .
change between the hit man - blazing foolishness and the rummy narrative is something the game does very well , and nothing drag on for too long , mercifully . The DLC carry me about 4 to 5 minute to complete , and I had fun the entire time . Well , aside from one moment in the secret plan , but I ’ll contact on that afterward .
You will revel the story if you ’re expecting nothing too mysterious or rotatory , and are quick for a reposeful and merriment experience . That ’s what I arrange into High on Knife for , and it give birth . This is n’t to betray the plot unretentive , but it is n’t a masterpiece in storytelling . It ’s a sport experience , and it nails it .

The mid-review turnaround
However , I do have a couple of reservations with the High on Knife DLC , and it ’ll be better to just out them all at once .
Firstly , Kenny ’s absence from the game is expected but ill have-to doe with upon . The lackluster and vague cause dish up more as a punchline for a later joke than it does as an actual reason . queerly enough , it does fit in with the tone and nature of the plot , and Harper as a replacement is joked about and referenced a few times , which I value , but Kenny was such an integral part of the main game that I feel the poor Gatlian deserved more of a send - off .
to boot , there are a few parts in the late game where the object lens is not clear at all . I spent the good half of an minute urgently trying to figure out how to gain my objective when all I had to do was kill off all the enemies . Upon stick to around and fighting some more , the answer appear in front of me . The game motion for you to “ fight down to the next objective , ” but I assumed that meant I had to reach my objective while come through infinite spawns of foe , not “ kill all foe , thenreach your objective . ” The choice of words there really actuate me up .

So , my advice for you to enjoy the latter half of the biz — kill all foeman in every chamber or room you are in , no matter what .
Plenty to do on Peroxis
Like High on Life , there are collectibles in High on Knife in the form of Muxxalon Packages , which you could slice open . Not only that , however , as there are airstream , sights to research , a add-in game to learn and meet , and other such folderal . There is enough to keep the DLC interesting after the report is finished , allowing you to spend even more clock time in the game that you love .
There ’s batch to do — unless you do n’t like collectibles . If you ’re not much of a collectibles fan , then there is n’t really much else . you may do some nerveless races and sightseeing , but that ’s about it . Even the card secret plan requires you to do some collectible hunting .
I in person enjoyed reckon out for the collectibles , as I like the inhabitants , the teaser , and the world . But that ’s the only understanding why . If you ’re just here for the report , then the DLC will have a shorter ledge animation .

So… is High on Knife a good game?
High on Knife is indeed a cracking game . It does n’t drag on for too long , has unequalled and screaming plot points and jokes , and has an ludicrous yet lovable planet to explore and interact with . By all means , it ’s almost as consummate as a DLC can get for a game like High on Life . It ’s its own ego - turn back story that is really fun and interesting , and you ’ll want to see it conclude . There is more of the merriment action you would ’ve enjoyed from High on Life , with new car-mechanic and toys being added to take it up a notch .
It build upon the main plot ’s shop mechanic and humor while providing a fresh experience ; I could n’t really ask for more . I would heavy commend it if you revel High on Life .
I desire you enjoyed my review of High on Knife , the High on Life DLC . For even more brushup , and assistance with the DLC , you may suss out outPC Invasion .
