Free for existing owners !
The Sinking City got a visual uplift with an Unreal Engine 5 remaster , along with impart quality of life advance and enhanced gameplay . It ’s liberal for existing owners , which is always appreciated , and you could still get to the original if you do n’t want to play the UE5 edition .
Like the original , though , not everything is perfect . The ultrawide effectuation is still not up to par , with pillarboxing add up to cutscenes and dialog scenes . gratefully , Rose from the widescreen community of interests has released a new patch to address this , just like they did for the original release .

Fixing The Sinking City Remastered Ultrawide Issue
The patch from Rose put out ultrawide support to cutscenes and dialog scenes , remove the pitch-black stripe from the presentation . Essentially , this is what the game should look like while being play on an ultrawide monitor , and the back - and - forth switching of the intro in the default DoS can be quite annoying .
Installing the spot is a pretty uncomplicated process :
Once you ’re done , launch The Sinking City Remastered and all the letterboxing will be slay from the cutscenes and dialog fundamental interaction , which make up a near clod of the playday . Here is a screenshot from Rose of the patch in action :

All credits go toRosefor creating and test the patch at 2560×1080 and 5120×1440 . you could learn about their work on theirPatreon .
This is the ideal path to play the game if you ’re on an ultrawide frame-up , and while there might be a few awkward compositions here and there , it ’s an excellent patch that should n’t be necessary . Though if you need to remove the spell for some grounds , simply edit the file that come with it in the energy single file .
I doubt that the developers will consider exsert ultrawide livelihood , since it was never added in the original either . The remaster was an chance to do this , but I ’m happy that we make something at least .
