If you only have the Makeshift Gaol Key , then your journey will be only a petty more arduous . The Makeshift Gaol Key can be used once , to open up your jail cell . Walk to the southern side of the room and walkup the steps .

in front will be theGaoler ’s way , so take the left and follow it around . To the right now should be astaircase leading up a tower . If you fall out the tower up , you ’ll be pass the Vernworth Gaol and entering the castle terra firma , where you ’ll get all your stuff and nonsense back .
I ’m diffident if my experience in Vernworth Gaol was an anomaly butthe guards did not care that I escaped at all . I exited my cell and walked right up to them . They did nothing . I ’m unsure if this is a bug or a purposeful design choice , but it ’s certainly strange .
How to get a Jail Key in Dragon’s Dogma 2
There are two types of Gaol Keys that you could feel . One proper , and one Makeshift .
you’re able to buy a Makeshift Gaol Key from Dudley in Melve . This can only be used once , but it ’s all you require for a Gaol escape . If you ’re already past Melve , then an Oxcart only cost 100 Gold to travel back from Venworth . The Makeshift Key will be you 3,000 Gold , though .
