How to Get the Shotgun in Alone in the Dark
Sure , Alone in the Dark has puzzles and mystery aplenty . But it also has monsters , and the best way to do by those antecedent - faced freaks is with a two - gauge scattergun and a willingness to let your foe get in good order up close and personal .
To unlock the Shotgun in Alone in the Dark , you ’ll need three lagniappe : the Rubber Stamp , the Dog Collar , and the Fountain Pen . Doing so will fill out the Lost Children set . And the less we think about the implications of this set , the better .
Unfortunately , you wo n’t be capable to complete the set until you ’ve visited thehateful moundand returned . But the second you ’ve returned , you ’ll have everything you need to get the Shotgun immediately .
To find the Rubber Stamp , capitulum toReceptionon the first floor . Move towards the Clerk ’s Office room access , and you ’ll see a window looking in . Beside this window , on the comeback , is the Rubber Stamp .
Next , you ’ll be able to get theFountain Penonce you have access code to Jeremy Hartwood ’s elbow room on the second floor . But the Fountain Pen is really inBatiste ’s Room . Once you ’re inside Batiste ’s room , head towards the lamp in the back corner , and you ’ll notice the outflow pen ona magazine on the side mesa .
The net item you ’ll ask is theDog Collar . The Dog Collar is in theDrawing Roomon the first trading floor , in the side tabular array beneath the windowpane . To get to the Drawing Room , you ’ll need to go through the subroutine library . You likely encountered this way when getting the Bolt Cutters to getthe Broken Plate in the Well .

But when you first encounter the door to the Drawing Room , it ’s locked because of a musical composition of wood wedged beneath it . Once you ’ve returned from visiting the mean mound , you ’ll have a Palette Knife , which you may use to open but this door and a room access on the third floor .
The scattergun case will automatically unlock in the Small Parlor when you have all three detail in the Lost Children set . You just have to claim it ! And once the case is open , it remain permanently unlocked for all future playthroughs .
