After making cursed Pokémon Scarlet and Violet sandwiches in substantial life , I decided to torture myself some more and see what dish The Legend of Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom has to offer . Because consume strawberries with eggs was n’t regretful enough , apparently .

Honestly , I actually went pretty tame with this one . Afterthe Pokémon sandwich test , I figured I ’d give myself some mire . So do n’t anticipate , like , crickets in a fret or something . I will eat some pretty dodgy hooey For The Content , but I have to take out a production line somewhere , y’know .
In Tears of the Kingdom , Link can make various dishes stray from caveman - esque food like meat on a spliff and monster soup to normal meals such as egg pudding and deep-fried rice . I went for a mix with the repast I cooked but aired toward the dependable side because , again , I ’m not corrode any bug . I do n’t get paid enough for that .

What ’s not to sleep with here ? Both fixings are great . Or so I thought , anyway , until I tasted it . My fatal error was mixing the three types of mushrooms together because , my god , it was noisome . I ’m commonly the weirdo who adds mushrooms to almost every savory dish I make , but even this was right smart too much for me .
The steak was banging , though . Sauteed to perfection at medium - rare temperature and seasoned with table salt and Piper nigrum . Ugh , I ’m salivate like a cad just typing this . After claim a bite with everything include , I end up admit the steak off the skewer and just eating that . Do n’t evaluate me ; you ’d do it too .

Appetizer #2: Cheesy Tomato
You ’d think this would be a secure dish because cheese and tomatoes are expert , right ? Wrong . I actually hate , and I meanHATE , raw tomato and olives . Like , an “ I would n’t give them to my spoiled enemy ” sort of energy . Completely and absolutely loathly . But I thought I should at least torture myself somewhat and not make thing too easy .
Did I note I also despise mint ? So this combining was the spoilt . I made a few Cheesy Tomato abominations for the hellhole of it , but I could only deplete one . The rest function in the trash . I know , I know , food wastage is bad and all that , but I literally do n’t care . The trash can was the good blank space for it , look at I quite literally had to concord back vomit . I ’m still recovering .

Main Course: Meat Curry
I saw Meat Curry on the tilt of Tears of the Kingdom recipes , and I justhadto make it . If you ’ve ever had Nipponese curry , you ’ll understand this straight aside . The game does n’t specify what meat the dish admit , though — just “ Raw Meat”—so I decided on porc chops because you could never go untimely with porc chopper .
While the recipe does n’t use potatoes and carrot in the secret plan , the illustration testify them being there alongside what I assume are green onions , so I rolled with ’em . I also cheated and used a Vermont Curry block because I ’m lazy , and everyone knows it ’s one of the best curry you could get your hand on in the United States . earnestly , if you have n’t try out it , you need to . I did prepare the pork chop , carrots , potato , and rice myself , though . I ’m notcompletelylazy .

This dish was aboveboard freaking delicious . My husband agreed , too , with this being the only dish he elect to try . I ’ve made it like six time since .

Dessert: Fruit Pie
I cheat here , too , and used pre - made Proto-Indo European crusts . Judge me all you want , but at least I can admit my weaknesses — I ca n’t make my own pie impertinence to save my life sentence . And I wanted to bask this . I did make the filling myself , so do n’t spell me off as completely work-shy , give thanks you very much .
Looking at the in - game illustration of the Fruit Pie , I could n’t recite what yield was on the top , away from blueberry and oranges , so I did n’t get everything . Whatever .
This was … fine . The sweetened condensed Milk River wastoosweet , and I do n’t have much of a sweet tooth , to begin with , so I only ate one bite and called it a day . My husband loved them , though , so I ’ll take that win .
