To get around the voice actor being removed from production , Squanch Games could have changed the voice actor like what happened in Rick and Morty , but instead , they opted for removing the Gatlian from the game , and replacing Kenny with a Gatlian call Harper . Harper , mechanically , is the exact same as Kenny , with only aesthetical and behavioral differences . Honestly , Harper is n’t a jarring refilling and is really entertaining .
Narratively , they do bear on upon the loss of Kenny and the increase of Harper , although it ’s more for the sake of punchlines and is n’t a cheering account . Kenny was such a immense part of High on Life that I require more for the character ’s send - off , instead of how it was handled .
