How to Use the Charge Blade in Monster Hunter Wilds
The main goal of the Charge Blade is to use one of the artillery ’s modes to power it ’s own attacks or the other weapon system mode . There are two fashion for the Charge Blade : Sword Mode and Axe Mode .
The weapon system starts in Sword Mode , so players will use slashing attack to harm lusus naturae . Sword Modealso add up with a shield , so player can guard themselves from enemy blast .
Dealing price in Sword Mode willfill up Phials , located underneath the Sharpness meter . The Phials will first shine yellow , then carmine , and then bright red which will cause attacks to take a hop off monster .
Players can thenbank the care by holding R2 ( RT ) + Circle ( B ) . This will power up the shield icon next to the Phials and attacks can deal extra price . just tapping the banking jazz band will wrick the Phials grey and can be used for charged blade attacks by holding Triangle ( Y ) while level for additional harm .
Players will then go through the Phial - filling phase angle again with banked grey Phials . ampoule can be overload by go through the procedure doubly , noted by the glowing jaundiced fire explode from the Phials . Overcharging give more equipment casualty when using the Phials for attacks .
Once you have full Phials , Axe Mode can be activated withR2 ( RT ) + Triangle ( Y ) . This giant axe can deliver immense damage and elemental attacks with Circle ( vitamin B complex ) or amped elemental attacks with Triangle ( Y ) + Circle ( B ) .

One of the well Charge Blade abilities is theFocus Slash : Double Rend , trigger when hold L2 ( LT ) and tapping R1 ( RB ) on a monster ’s red wound . This will induce Power Axe Mode , where holding down attacks will deal spare hits with every attack .
