Pop Quiz : What massacred more players ? The Hero Pass update or the Falador Massacre of 2006 ?

The reception to RuneScape ’s latest update Hero Pass has been overpoweringly negative . All over social media , players have been sharing their right-down disdain for the update which they have found to have been vastly wangle from what was originally announced . Instead of a nonchalant way to participate in all orbit of the game , it is a ‘ FOMO ’ inducing update that seems predatory with its modified - time rewards . These rewards were meant to be gettable in the future , and it has since been announced that that may not be the slip . This means that many actor will experience like they need to pay off tangible money so that players do not miss out .

This repercussion was so big that today the Executive Producer , Mod Keeper released a statement today regarding the feedback from players .

To the RuneScape Community ,

With respect to the recent Hero Pass launch on Monday 4th of September ; we hear you tatty and clean . We are not done , and we will furnish further detail tomorrow . Mod Keeper

masses were spry to mock thisannouncementas being ‘ too longsighted to understand , ’ ‘ a paragraph too long , ’ and ‘ purposeless . ’ Unless Hero Pass is wholly removed or importantly change to bring it in line with the community ’ reasonable expectations , there is nothing that Jagex can do to avail the site .

With this being the most potential result , this annunciation has thespian comically state that it sounds almost threatening . “ We are not done … ” vocalise like things could potentially get a whole lot speculative . Whilst we have to wait until tomorrow to see what Jagex has to say , players are cause the best of a bad situation and mull over as to what the further detail could let in .

At the very least , this recoil has led to Mod Keeper speaking out publicly , which has surprise the community as this is not something that he has done often before . This illustrate that Jagex is taking the severity of this reaction gravely and , in turn , will hopefully rectify it . Either way , tomorrow , we will find out if the Hero Pass update will massacre more players than the Falador Massacre ever did .
