The Tekken roll has fighters from all over the man . For exercise , Lili is French , Hwoarang is Korean , and Jin is Japanese . To that end , seeing each character sound in those respective spoken language is very refreshing . Even in the story style , fighter speak in their native glossa , and the participant has to read the subtitles . I adore this , even if it mean that every Tekken attack aircraft is a original polyglot .

Any adequate fighting game player will tell you the importance of a whole material body rate . Especially in Tekken , where we rely on material body data . I ’m thrilled to say Tekken 8 feels exceedingly well - optimized on PC . Even with the art cranked up , I have zero complaints .
On that promissory note , I have no idea what it ’s like to be colour unsighted , but there are some robust color cecity options . It ’s not something I can meaningfully point out on , but handiness features like this are always a good thing .
It’s time to turn up the heat
Tekken is a 3D fighting plot and can be jarring if you ’re come from 2D fighters like Street Fighter . Combat and movement feel even smoother than in Tekken 7 , and there ’s a readable playstyle shift toward aggression . consider how approachable Tekken 8 tries to be , I ’m surprised at how complicated the new Heat mechanic is . high temperature allows you to poke out combos and enhance specific motility , and it has a ton of freeform utility .

My best-loved pattern tool is the Replay system , which is probably the most helpful I ’ve seen in a scrap game . Tekken 7 ’s netcode often draw ira and criticism from players who felt it was n’t up to the task . While it ’s a little too former to say how the netcode do overall , my fights online in Tekken 8 have all been seemly . I ’ve noticed a couple of dropped frames , but it is a far cry from some of the madness - induce lag I suffer through with Tekken 7 .
Even at peak times , I have very little to quetch about with Tekken 8 ’s online ecosystem . I do n’t use WiFi , so that may explain my politic experience , but it seems solid and exactly what is required .

It ’s also wonderful to see Tekken Ball again , a darling mode that always shows up at small Tekken Tournaments . The issue is we ’ve already seen this mode before in Tekken 3 and again in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 . I ’d have enjoy something fresh to complement Tekken 8 ’s sexy fresh graphics .
Despite a few minor nitpicks , Tekken 8 is the best current - gen scrap biz I ’ve play . It is a remarkable effort , considering how stiff the contention is . Like its harbinger , Tekken 8 is a complex game , but drive has been made to make the game approachable without squandering the deepness for which Tekken is famed .
