The Sundering fractured universe , splitting the populace into fourteen distinct sherd . The survive Ascians , with their souls intact , known as the Unsundered , struggle to reunify the world , and in doing so , act out the Seven Umbral Calamities . Each outcome bring unequalled death and destruction but bring the globe one pace closer to reuniting .
Hydaelyn and Zodiark remain critical pieces in the battle of Eorzea . While we wo n’t spoil their involvement in the in vogue expansion , the Warrior of Light will doubtlessly hear credit of them again .
